Born in France in 1969, Sof works as a freelance artist since 1996 and runs a 400 m2 studio in Krefeld.
As a staunch advocate of artistic freedom, she follows her own path and confidently takes the liberty of exploring a wide variety of directions and leaving diverse traces along the way.
She never ceases to surprise with the thematic breadth and painterly and sculptural polyphony of her work.
Colorful landscapes are interrupted by narrow, monochrome abstract shapes.
In addition to purely modern, colorful paintings, she creates pop-art-like and reversible paintings, as well as expressionist works featuring people or flower meadows.
Black-and-white figures appear on old music sheets, and new things are brought to life from paper collages, tissus, cardboard, wood or paint residues.
In her object art, she likes to combine natural materials with old mannequins, airplane parts, pieces of wood, books, etc. to create small or large-format sculptures.
